We currently have two CADCAM systems in the lab:
Sirona inlab
- used to scan models and receive intra-oral scans from Sirona Connect. Our Sirona MCXL milling machine is used to produce small zirconia frameworks, ti base restorations and emax crowns. These restorations are all milled in-house.
3-Shape
- used to scan models and receive intra-oral scans from a variety of sources, as well as emailed stl files.
Using the 3-Shape software, we can design monolithic zirconia crowns (full contour), larger zirconia bridges, custom abutments and implant chrome frameworks. We use external milling centres to produce restorations designed on the 3-Shape.
The scans provided by the 3-Shape scanner are amazingly accurate (Accuracy (ISO 12836/ implant): 7 μm/10 μm) and the software enables us to recieve intra-oral scans from a number of surgery scanners:
- Trios
- iTero
- Emailed .stl files
